I had my 3rd cervical spinal surgery in March. Since having the surgery I have had difficulty swallowing, extreme episodes of high blood pressure and sweating. I have also started to get horrible headaches along with these symptoms. I believe this is all from a spinal cord injury. Has anyone else heard of this?

  • Hi im just wondering if the spinal cord was injured before the surgery that u are aware of......im not sure if these are symptoms of spinal cord injury what were ur symptoms b4.did the surgeon give u a success rate if the operation would work?.maybe your symptoms havent changed .....?
  • Hi dp,
First let me say welcome to spine health. Why have you had three surgeries so far and what were they for at which levels. As someone who has had four surgeries i think the more they do it takes longer for the body to heal. By any chance did your surgeon use BMP in your last surgery. Please write back and give us more information. Anyway welcome to spine health.
