My doc has me scheduled for a laser treatment on my L5 and S1 to harden the disc. Has anyone heard of this? I got no responses in the surgery thread..and can't find any info on the web.

  • I have had laser surgery along with my endoscopic microD for my annular tare. The laser surgery tightened the disc up after a large portion of it was removed. I have much less of a chance of it rupturing. I will PM the link to my docs website that tells all about it. Let me know if you need more info.
  • Here is there website: http://www.EDITED.com/ There are several more places like this one all over the country. Just Google "laser surgery lumbar".

  • Could you please give me the web site also. I also have a lumbar annular tear and my Spine Surgeon isn't planning any surgery as he says the disk is still in good shape and a good size. He advised the flareups should decrease over time and the tear should dry up. Currently on Celebrex 1x a day and Tramadol as needed. THANKS
  • I sent you a pm with the site. be careful of those places in florida. i have not heard good things about them.
