Pain in the buttock region....

AnonymousUserAAnonymousUser Posts: 49,731
What is the cause of pain in my buttocks;the pain worsens after i lie down to sleep makng me feel diff to walk?
i am 21 yrs old male. I am having this problem from last 7-8 years....

I have taken out an X-Ray of the lumbosacral joint.... & the X-Ray report only mentions that i have developed sclerosis in the lumbosacral joint region... .thats it.... the doc says, that he cant diagnose the cause......

One important thing worth mentioning is that the pain in the buttocks starts/worsens/increases one i get up from a sleeping position .....

the pain is mostly around the buttocks, though, i feel that i have a problem in a region connecting my leg to the torso....

  • Hi and welcome to Spine Health. Unfortunately we are not doctors or dianosticians, just other chronic pain sufferers who found our way here much the same as you did. We can offer our experience, strength and hope, but cannot tell you what will cure you.

Sorry that you are in so much pain. Why did the doc say he couldn't diagnose the cause? Has he at least offered up a plan of treatment or further testing?

  • asdfgh- Have you had any other testing besides an X-ray? I would think an MRI of the area may provide some answers. The pain could be due to many reasons. I would ask about additional testing to get a diagnosis as well as treatment for the pain..take care..jade
  • thanx everyone !!!
