pain switching from right arm to left?

Hello,
The pain that i had has swiched from right side to left side down my arm to hand with numness and tingling in both hands..but no pain in right arm where it originally started..does anyone know why it switched?..when it switched to left side pain has really increased, plus mri says herniations on right side??..my left arm feels really heavey and weak. I see surgeon tomorrow Thank god..don't know how much longer I can endure this pain, I have a high pain tolerance but this is too much.

RESULTS OF MRI:
C3/4: THERE IS A BILATERAL DISC BULDGE WITH SLIGHT NARROWING OF THE RIGHT NEURAL FORAMEN.
C4/5:MINMINAL DIFFUSE DISC BULDGE WITH SLIGHT NARROWING OF THE NEURAL FORAMEN.

C/5/C6: RIGHT PARACENTRAL DISC HERNIATION WITH MASS EFFECT ON THE CORD AND MILD SPINAL STENOIS

C6/C7: BROAD BASE DISC HERNIATION WITH MASS EFFECT ON THE CORD AND NARROWING OF THE RIGHT NEURAL FORAMEN.

MODERATE END PLATE SCLEROSIS AND SPONDYLOSIS @C6/C7 LEVEL IS EVIDENT.

  • hi, same thing has happened to me, docs say i should be having more pain on right side, i do have pain on right but i have the same pain on left now to, some times left is worse then the right has ever been, i did mention this to doc but didnt get any idea to why from doc. i do know that with the meolpathy symptoms it can happen any where below the cord impingement, patsy
