Just in pain in the back of the shoulder bone??? in the back area not the top of the shoulder. Could this be neck related? I will see Dr. tomorrow with my cervical block being done but just thinking if this is the upper back or if this is a shoulder issue. 2 years ago my Dr. told me I sprained it and it will heal. It goes from a 2-10 and it has been a 10 yeaterday and a 8 today. Have lidoderm patch on it. Any info will help. Thanks ;)

  • Definitely ask your doc about it tomorrow, but if I understand where you are describing, yes it can be related to cervical issues. HOWEVER, there are many other things it could be as well. ONly way to know for certain is to have your doctor take a look at it.

    Good luck tomorrow.

  • I'm pretty sure could be related. Might want to look at a dermatone as well as those muscles are involved with the support of the neck.

hmmm looking at the dermatone nerve pain looks like it wouldn't be but from an auto accident those muscles are defintely involved in holding your neck up!
  • Is this pain you are describing in the scapula area? If so, it could be related to your neck. But I agree with everyone else, please discuss it with your doctor. does the lidoderm patch help? If this is from your neck, you may want to ask about a nerve pain medicine, such as lyrica or neurontin or cymbalta. Is your "cervical block" a nerve root block?
