This is my first time posting and was hoping to get some feedback from others who may have had this procedure. I am to have a Neuromotomy on Wed the 24th and Im a bit nervous. they are burning the nerves from L2-L5 right side. Has anyone had this done? Did it work? I have desicated discs, buldging discs hip, pelvic, leg pain. and back pain too. Does anyone have any insight or experience with this? I am really nervous about having this done as they say you have an increased in pain for two weeks afterwards.

I am glad to have found this site to talk with others.

  • you will be in quite a bit of pain while the nerves die,but after about a month you feel better,i had mine done in january, and i have no nerve pain now,but i still have muscle pain as it wont take care of the muscle, when you have it done make sure you have extra pain meds...

  • i wa referring to the rhizotomy, after it is done you will need extra pain meds, because it very painfull that is what i was referring too...
  • Well I had it done folks and I survived. My back just woke up yesterday and the pain is no worse than what I was already having. I'm suppose to have the other side done next week. I'm taking the pain meds/muscle relaxants around the clock and iceing my back. The ice seems to help the most. I just hope I get long term pain relief.
  • i hope it wotks for you, give it some time, things will calm down with the nerve after about a month...
