  • I am 30 yrs old, male, married, 1 fantastic daughter (15 months). I work as a chemist and have a degree in chemistry. I have had back problems since my early teens, my father is disabled because of them and my sister has had surgery twice. I am scheduled for my first epidural next week. Up to this point, i have never had a doctor take me seriously but now i am actually achieving or rather looking forward to achieving some pain relief (if all goes well). I actually had to ask my doctor to schedule me for an mri. any questions? just ask!
  • I hope that all goes well for you and that you will get that pain relief....please keep us posted....Miki
  • :) hi and welcome to the forum! :H we are here to offer you support and answer what questions we can.oh i have lots of questions but let's start at the beginning! What type of pain are you having? what type of pain doctors are you or have you seen? what treatments? this is a few to get started. tell us about your self!! :? good luck with your upcoming MRI. Jenny :)
  • i have had chronic back pain from top to bottom for about 15 years. since i was an ignorant person when i was younger (invincible!!!!) i maintained my job as a mechanic for years. lifting 100 lb batteries everyday didnt help. anyhow, i have seen multiple general practitioners. no has ever tried to help. I am finally in a pain management clinic. i recently switched doctors and he (FINALLY) took action. i went to orthopedic dr, neurosurgeon and spine specialist. result: need two fusions in my neck. he also said it wouldnt be the last surgery i needed. He told me it would help my partial paralysis in my left arm but would not help the pain. took these results to my normal dr-> he sent me to pain management. he said lets to shots: may prevent having to have surgery. result: waiting for appt, ultram, some worthless muscle relaxer. but, i dont expect much from past exp.
neck: loss of mobility, clicking in neck, ringing ears, shoulder/elbow pain, agility loss in hand. PAIN
back: loss of mobility, the seemingly popular sciatic diorama, heel and foot numbness, hip pain, butt pain :$ back pain
not one to complain, more people are much worse than i am. but it's nice to have people to talk to. i dont tell my wife what i endure because who wants to hear it all the time. thanks for "listening" and your interest.
