My first appointment with a Neurosurgeon is on Nov. 28th. I have been waiting for 4 months to see him. After many years of struggling through back pain this past year has been the worst for me, the pain in my legs got so bad I could not walk. Even after much PT, CT, and acupuncture and massage therapy, so I have been on medication just to get through the day be able to go to work, stand up straight and live somewhat pain free.
This may sound like a dump question but should I slow down on my medication a couple of days before this appointment to determine my current pain level?
Will the specialist need to know this?
What else should I expect or need to know about this appointment. I have my x-ray and CT scan for him and I imagine he will send me right away for an MRI. I have gathered a list from this great website of questions to ask should he recommend surgery or other because I am not jumping into anything quickly.
I have to drive 4 hours to get to his office so that’s another issue.
So, as you can tell from this post I am a little nervous about this long awaited appointment. :SS :SS :SS
