Pain from footwear

Thanks to all who replied to my post. Re the question as to x-rays or MRI, I had an x-ray of the lower back about 10 years ago, and have had x-rays of the instep area of my feet round about the same time. All that showed up were some small bone spurs in the left foot, but the pain relief doctor who examined them at the time said these weren't enough to be causing the pain I was in.
I know this forum is mostly for people with spine-related problems, but I honestly feel I do not have a problem with my spine, nor do I think that my leg pain is sciatica. However, I do have musculo-skeletal chronic pain in common with all members and I can certainly identify with those members who have experienced depression because of their condition. Will post again soon.
