My Forum

Might be a nice idea if there was a way to tag a post so that you can follow it... in your own "my forum", without having to reply to it. By that i mean, at the moment, if you reply to a post, you can track it through My Posts - but you have to have posted to it for it show up in a separate smaller list. Bit like Ebay... you can select "watch this item", how bout "watch this post"? If there was something like this, the watched posts, my posts, and topics i've posted could all go to this new "My Forum, and users could then remove items, watch them, or divy them up by one of the 3 categories (watched, posts, topics).

Hopefully that makes sense!! But let me know if i can be of help...

Great site btw!!!!!!! Saving grace in so many ways.

that you are talking about a forum software base that can track 'your' posts or ones that you watch.
Sort of like you own subscription list.
I have not seen PC forum software to do that (but that does not mean its not there), but on the mainframe, it was there from the start.
Pick the ones you want and when you look at the board the next time, you have a choice to view all or view just the ones you are watching

  • That sounds great but sometimes when you want to watch a certain person's post you can become friends with them. That reminded me of when I went to a Y chatroom and someone followed me. Charry
