Hi I'm new hear I have read many of your issues sorry for your pain. I have had cervical pain about 5 years. Don't have insurance and my doctor ordered an MRI. I have had several accidents including falling head first down a flight of stairs. I was so fortunate that I did'nt break my neck. I am in so much pain all on left side ear, side of neck back of neck between the shoulder bldes and on the left down by what I call the wing part of my back. I also sometimes get radiating pain which I think is nerve pain. I take vicodin es up to 8 a day and have been for over five years I don't no what to do any more any advice? Thank you in advance for any responses,

  • Hi Rita,
So sorry to hear about your situation and your pain; and btw, welcome to SH! I'm not a doc, but your symptoms sound an awful lot like mine (minus the fall! :jawdrop: ) The MRI your doc ordered sounds like the way to go...At least you'd know exactly what's going on and then you can make an informed decision. Have you done physical therapy or anything else to help?

    Best of luck
