I am 4 days out from acdf surgery and am wondering about my pain level.. The first 2 days post-op,I was feeling much better, pain across my neck and shoulders only, nothing unbearable..The last 2 days I am having excrutiating pain in my upper arms, elbows, especially when I first wake up..is this to be expected ??
I had acdf at c5-6 and c6-7 after a car wreck in 06

  • What I've learned on this forum is that everyone's different. Although some pain is to be expected after surgery, you know your body better than anyone, if you think there is something amiss, call your surgeon NOW.

    Good luck!
