2003 My former boss dropped a tree log on My back from about 15+ feet high & I woke up in the hospital. 2 pilf back surgerys later Im fused from L5----L2 & facing another maybe S1-L5 just wondering what is Your lifestyle like. Mine is lay in bed-go to the bathroom-eat-stay in bed-occasionaly go out to eat (usualy-eating take out in the parking lot because its too much trouble going in)& IF IM LUCKY have a friend visit. Its not to nice for my wonderful wife either. sound familiar to anyone?


  • Wow. I have got to say that while I do not share your story, well... I don't know what to add...

    I did not have surgery to THAT extent on my back (just a diskectomy), so can only imagine what your day must be like.

    I do hope you can get to the point (one day) where you can at least enjoy a meal out.

    As far as friends, well, sometimes even our closest friends do not know what to say or how to act around someone when they are not the same person physically (although I am sure mentally you are) so they show up less and less. I hope this situation changes for you because having friends around is a great way to get our minds off our current situations, even if it is only for an hour or so.

    Good luck in your quest. Oh, by the way WELCOME TO SPINE HEALTH! This is a great site to share your experience and learn of the experiences of others.
