Just stumbled upon this website hoping for some insight.
I'm a 27 years old female and have undeniable pain/discomfort with my muscles and joints in my neck and back since my early 20's.
I haven't had any sports injuries or major accidents. (only one when I was 17 and another driver rear ended me when I was stopped at a red light-she was prob. only going 25 mph at the most, and I had no injuries at the time)
Anyhow, every day I have this discomfort in my neck and back. Some days it is less than others, but always a concern. I have the urge to crack/pop my bones in my neck every few minutes of the day. Even just positioning my shoulders back makes this awful cracking sound. When I'm laying down is the only time when it barely bothers me- so at least I can sleep well.
I've told my doctors and one told me that my shoulders were farther apart than normal. (?) I've been referred to a physical therapist but haven't made the time to go. I had x-rays taken a couple years ago- nothing.
I recently went to a chiropractor for massage and adjustment. Massage was nice- 5 visits total- no major relief though. 2 adjustments- did not really like this, so I stopped going a couple weeks ago, also due to my wedding.
I do not exercise and know that this would help me greatly- it's just that I have pain when starting and get frustrated to keep on going. I don't eat a lot of junk or anything. I'm not saying I'm the most healthy eater or anything, but I try to eat what's good for you.
Sometimes I feel like an 80- year old and I'm not even 30 yet!
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
