I know this probably has been asked before, but lately I've been having so much trouble with them, that I don't know what to do.
I get the head pain that comes from the back of the base of the head up to the top of the head. It is a constant ache. Sometimes I have one or two areas on the top of my head that tingle, itch, cramp like feeling, or stab like feeling. Sometimes it is pressure downward. A lot of it seems to be worse when I lay down on my tempurpedic pillow to sleep...I don't know if maybe my neck nerves are pinched, tight or really irratated now that the slight curving of the neck to lay down is putting pressure on these nerves. For most of the time when I get up most of it calms down. However I deal with tight aching spine down the middle.
Maybe I'm having a lot of muscle spasms and that is affecting them more.
I've had this since my neck stuff started but not this bad.
Has anyone had this or know what I'm talking about? What do you do to relieve it non medically or medically? Should I go back to PT to break the pain cycle for awhile? Would epidurals that I'm suppose to get help this? I have a soft collar but I dont think it does much. I also ice and heat my neck off and on all day.
I take fiorcet minus caffiene and tylenol 3. Fiorcet sometimes works good for an hr or so until the codiene wears off. I don't know if I want anything stronger, but when I wake up in the morning at 6 am and want to sleep till 8 or 9 it is hard to because the pain is there.
I moved up my appt with my neurologist to july 8th to see if I need any more test to see if anything has changed or what new route I can try. Because I need to get pain level down so I can live. Right now I just cry off and on every day and that's no way to live life.
