surgery scheduled for aug 17th

Hello, back surgery buddies, browsed site for week's after finding out that I need back surgery, back pain for over 20years, tried the nonsurgical approach, injections,PT, chiro, nothing helps anymore, MRI shows spondy at s1-l5, and l-4 l-3, have fusion done doctor says 3months no work sound reasonable.

  • just wanted to wish you luck on surgery the 17th. i'm sure you are apprehensive and want to get back to normal asap. we all heal at different rates but you can speed the fusion up by following drs orders. certain drugs can slow down fusion so be careful. and no bending twisting or lifting.
    yes 3 months is reasonable....well hopefully things will really improve.....best....pete
  • Good luck! I'm headed in at 8:00 AM EST on the 17th for a C5/C6 ACDF. My instructions to the doc are "Don't f*ck this up!" :D I wish you the best.
