Hi my fellow spine friends! I am new to the spine forum and I must say I was very happy to find this while looking through the web for answers! My name is Joni. I had cervical spine fusion with a bone donor graft and a titanium plate and screws put in for two disks in my cspine back at the beginning of April. I have had a very hard time post surgery with blood pressure dropping, sickness, etc. and I am just happy to be alive at this point! For this month I have had two weeks where I wasn't sick and that was something! But, unfortunately that didn't last. I woke up the other morning with severe pain on my right side of my head, neck, ear and jaw. My regular doc thought it was a brain bleed...ruled that out with a CAT scan. The pain is still here, I can't sleep in bed now so I am back to the recliner. I put ice on the back of my neck last night and that helped with all the right side pain, which got me to thinking....could it be a problem with my fusion? This has got me worried! The jaw, ear, front of my neck all hurt real bad. I am now wondering if I should visit the doc who did the surgery? Or just keep icing it and taking tylenol.
