:? Had my appointment friday gone with neurosurgeon does not know what the problem is could be nerve damadge or more prolapse disc after having microdiscectomy 2 years ago he checked reflexes hardly any on left side and when asked to raise leg of bed could only lift it a few inches of bed before getting alot of jerking of the leg does anyone have this problem i also have alot of weakness on left side oh by the way waiting for mri he said it will be in about 3 weeks time

  • i had trouble with not being able to lift the leg off floor or bad. i thought for sure it was my lumbar spine. turned out to be my hip. i think you'll just have to wait for test results. however dont ignore testing hip....pete
  • after my microD. I had to lift my leg with my hand pulling on pant leg. It was immediately after my surgery though and it eventually got better. I do know that the risk of reherniation is high after a microD. Good luck and let us know how you make out.
