Logon Problems with Spine-Health

From time to time, we get posts or private messages (or emails) from members stating that they can not login to Spine-Health. They also state that they do not have problems with any other site.

99% of the problem deals with the Browser a member is using.

The Spine-Health site takes full advantage of new hypertext (XTML) plus the CSS style sheets also add new function.

The problem is with Microsoft Explorer. Microsoft provides updates to their browser at 1- Release time or 2- Service pack updates. They do not keep in synch with the newer functions that are available to the web designer.
Right now, most of Spine-Health functions will work with Internet Explorer Release 7. On the other side, there are so many functions that do not work in the older Internet Explorer

THe work around has always been switching over to Mozilla Firefox. Firefox is an open ended software product that provides constant updates to the user. There is an option in Mozilla to ensure this.

I STRONGLY suggest switching over to Mozilla Firefox.
The transition is painless and there is an option to import all your favorites from MS Explorer.

There are endless amount of 'function' that Firefox offers.
One is a spell checker. That is very handy to use here.
Firefox also provides a library of various functions that can be added to Firefox.

Try it out, you will be pleased

  • I was unable to log in for a couple of weeks, always receiving the same screen showing a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Test Page. It referred to the apache http server, and no matter how many times I tried, I continued getting the same message. I even went to my office computer and still got the same message.

Finally I decided to try downloading firefox and voila, I got on. My work computer was also using explorer. Just for kicks, I just opened up IE again and tried to access spine-health. Nope, still won't work. So obviously Ron is correct that the problem lies within internet explorer. For me, I'll be staying with Firefox. It is a MUCH nicer browser. :)
And I'm happy to be back on SH.
