I had a spinal fusion surgery on August 31, 2009..went to my neurosurgeon this past Thursday and he said my fusion was progressing VERY slowly..(I smoke).. I have tried to quit but it isnt easy. He even said that more than likely I will end up having further problems..as I am now..pain, swelling and issues coming back that I had before the surgery..So he gave me a prescription for Chantix to help me quit..but my workers comp denied to pay for this. I would think that they would pay for it so as to not have to pay for future medical issues.. I guess my question is does anyone think it would be in there best interest to pay for it or am I wrong in thinking so. This all has me depressed and at my wits end because I really want to quit so I dont have to go thru further pain...I have no will power as I have tried several times to quit but think this would help me as I have heard it helped friends of mine..Any help or info would be appreciated!!
