I appreciate comments that I received from a couple of previous posts. I will also appreciate further comments regarding this topic/update.
History: chronic back pain from DDD, heriated L4/L5 disc, acquired arthritis 2003, tried everything, worked part time until 2006, worked part-time and received partial disability through 2008. Coflex operation 2/2008, two spacers-L3/L4 & L4/L5. Returned to work full time 1/2009. Difficult to work full time, but I coped.
UPDATE: 3-18-10, major car accident, rear ended and slammed into a bus.I am a gov't worker was in travel status. I can not work, and this is a workman's comp. claim through the dept. of Labor. I was banged up but didn't notice immediate symptoms, other than back pain. I didn't go to the hospital I saw my PCP on 3-19. Diagonosed with concussion, trauma to low back, prescribed PT. Saw back pain specialist 3-25, received 8 trigger point injections 3 neck, 5 back, helped a little and worked for a few days. However, headaches increased, rigth arm numbness, neck pain, crying episodes from nowhere - 3/4 X a day. I can think about working now. Any advice regarding symptoms and dealing with workmans comp? Thanks and Godspeed to all.
