Self trigger point treatments?

Hi all,

I usually post on the chronic pain forum, but thought this fit better here.

Does anyone have any trigger point tools they like and get good results with?? I need something for the low back and gluteal areas. What prompted this is I ran across that "fenix" system which costs and arm and a leg but looks interesting and like it might actually work (oh god, they know how to get us back pain people with their fancy gizmos and inflated promises).

I'm currently using a tennis ball which works, but can be kind of awkward. I also use a foam roller, but I think the tennis ball actually works better.
