Has anyone had more weakness in their legs after an ESI? I had my third inject yesterday and my legs ache just as they did last three time and feel weaker. My L leg and hip has the most pain. The inj yesterday made me cry this time from fear of it not working and my back and leg seemed more sensitive during the procedure. They told me to "call the doctor" by today if they don't call but they should be calling. Here it is next day and I'm afraid to call. What a chicken I am.

  • Call and ask. I will say that my ESI increased the pressure in my back for several days, but you should call your doctor and make sure that what YOU are feeling is what's normal for YOU. Also, because it's Friday, and otherwise you will worry all weekend.

So call. Close your eyes and pretend I'm dialing the phone and putting it in your hand. Here....
  • I had my 3rd of 6 ESIs 2 weeks ago and it was worse afterwards then ever before. Take it easy for 3 days and ice. I agree with HBMom to call the PM Dr. just to make sure everything's okay because it's the weekend. My legs feel heavy after the ESI's and do take it easy. Hope you get some relief soon. Charry

  • Happy and Charry thank you for your advice ;) ;) .
My surgeons office called this afternoon right after my post. I go see him the 24th. I'm nervous/ afraid of what his decision what to do next. I'm afraid of sugery but can't take the pain and weakness.
I was doing good a bout doing the iceing after work or when I come home for lunch days that I work and should get back to doing that.
Its amazing how exhasting pain can be. It literally sucks out all my strength.
My house seems such a mess to me and it makes me feel worse. My husband tries to help but I'm sure most of the house wives here will agry its just not the same and our footprint of our cleaning isn't there. Don't take me wrong I'm very very grateful for him and fortunate to have his support.
I hope all you Spineys have a happy and comforting weekend.
