Brand Ultram vs. Generic Tramadol

Saw my PM doc this week and discussed switching from generic Tramadol which I'm currently taking to brand Ultram ER for around the clock pain control. Has anyone had experience with both and have an opinion on what worked better for you? Right now, I'm on the fence because of the cost factor. I tried googling this topic and couldn't find much information.

  • Yes, although the issue isn't as much the generic vs. the brand, but the extended release vs. the instant release. There isn't currently a generic version of the extended release. I have done both the IR and ER.

I did like the ER better. Hope you like it too!
