I made appointments this morning with two of the top ortho surgeons in NYC. My neurologist and pain management docs had recommended them.
So the one doctor just called me. He asked a few more questions and it was obvious he had read the brief history I had given the receptionist. Then he told me if I'm not ready to operate to not come to see him. He also wanted to know why I wasn't going back to the same surgeon.
I told him that the PM doc had suggested that an ortho doc would be better since this would be a fusion. I told this surgeon that if he can fix it I'm ready to operate. I think he was a little shocked at my answer.
Now I need a new MRI and I see him in two weeks. It was very interesting to find a surgeon who is only interested in operating. I'm thinking I like him already.
