Itching down both arm...Neck discs?

I have been having an intense itching which is getting worse lately. I have a bulging cervical disc and several bone spurs. The neurosurgeon said the disc and spurs have nothing to do with my itching. I have itched for years and wear Lidoderm patches on both arms daily. I'm on no other meds. My neck (the bulging disc) began hurting back in the winter...no great pain just comes and goes depending on my activity.
My question is have any of you experienced this pain. I have heard of only one person that ever experienced this and he was helped by a spinal cord stimulation device. Do any of you know about this?

  • Marcie,

I would have to agree to a point in that the issues in your Cervical spine "should not/can not" cause itching. The closest to "itching" I had not related to medications was the 'tingle itch' I have gotten from the spine; the gentle electrical tingles - makes me itch. Is that what you're experiencing, or is it the "classic" itchy feeling? That's the only 'itching' I can think of from my own experience. I hope you find out what is going on. Please let us know what you find out. :)
