Anyone here?

I worked the 1st night of this seasons tour of "Spamalot" last night. Got to work the houselights position so I could actually enjoy the show!

While is is not John Cleese and the rest of that group it is very funny, at times hilarious! Having worked many of these shows I usually have a hard time disconnecting from the technical side of things. Last night I did pretty well, even with the constant chatter on the headsets!

For those not familiar with Spamalot, it is a stage version of the search for the holy grail. if you don't like that movie, you may like the play version, but I think it would be a crapshoot.

If you like the movie and can sit through 2 hours and about 10 minutes of a play, then I would not hesitate to go see it and escape from reality for a while!

"African or European you may wonder?"

  • My brother is a huge Monty Python fan so of course I was forced to watch it growing up. It is certainly an acquired taste and a taste for the irreverant is required. I can usually only handle 15 minutes of it. But glad that you enjoyed yourself. It's those moments that remind us how good life is.
  • That's a great job! I like Monty Python but more when I was younger and couldn't stop laughing with the search for the holy grail movie. Good you has a great time!

  • Oh, I'm so jealous! I love Monty Python. All of my friends do.

  • Would have loved to have seen the show.

    Glad you enjoyed it!

  • First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin.

Then, shalt thou count to three, no more, no less.
Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three.

Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three.

    Five is right out.

Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.
