The people from the company that promote the SCS are like used car salesmen. That has turned me off and made me not trusting. Hubby has one in his back but I don't see the difference, maybe he is just lazy. I have seen pople get their lives back after the scs but can't figure out if they wanted it to work so bad their mmind says it works.
I had the temp SCS for 7 days and it sucked. I felt like pulling the wires out myself. Had I known they were not that long, I may have. I tried all the settings and had my usual toe and calf cramping. I really hoped it would work.
Back to the surgeon. I know scar tissue on a nerve root being surgically removed will most likely grow back, but maybe it will not grow back in the same spot. I'm a gambler so either way, at least I tried to better the pain.
I am demanding a discogram. I have had what they called minor disk bulges but when operated on they find they are laying on the nerves. I trust my surgeon 100% because he does not like to operate and that is how he makes his living. Winter is coming and here in upstate NY the cold is agonizing. If I can get this back fixed I'll be back somewhere warm which helps with the pain. All my disks are abutting the thecal sac and even resectioning it. Darn it, my back makes me not me.
