Hi Everyone,

Well I met with all the Dr's at pre-op. I'm scheduled to have PLIF with all hardware removed and replaced. Hoping this time it will work. The Dr is running test to see if I have an infection due to the fact of the non union!

Not sure what to expect from a PLIF. The last surgery was a 360. Hoping this is easier!

  • Hi Maria,
I had a PLIF, L4&L5 removed, replaced with an allograft, 6 screws 2 rods 8 weeks ago. First 2 weeks were a little rough due to a lot of work done at once. Then I noticed all my sciatica nerve horrendous pre-op pain was virtually GONE,my R Leg didn't have that aching, squeezing constant pain.I wear a back brace and have mostly good days so far. The more that I OVER-DO it, the more pain, my back will tell me to slow down and I have to respect that so the fusion takes and allow the healing process to have a fair shake. Best Wishes for a smooth, successful PLIF .
