New to the Forums and losing sleep due to lower back pain!

Hi there...

Lifted 100 pounds and within a few weeks felt like I was having Kidney Stones. I went to the doctor and they found blood in my urine and thought that this was so... Short story, visited my primary doctor who found no blood in my urine and prescribed physical therapy to me after my Cat Scan came back completely negative. The physical therapy worked, but it's been painful ever since and now after 4 months I'm having problems sleeping - seems to be getting worse.

I'm going to a Prolotherapy doctor on Wednesday to see if this might be something that could help me.

I've been stretching and working out slowly - I just can't sit still and at 46 I'm realizing that it's time to slow down all because of my back. Oy! It's hard getting in and out of my car, I can't stand up sometimes after sitting in my recliner after watching TV.

Will this every go away? Everyone tells me that it's a bulged disc and that it's just a matter of time before it disappears by doing my stretches etc. I'm doing them and it is not going away.

Any suggestions would be appreciated - sorry for my naiveté, but I'm low on sleep. ;)

  • Have you had an MRI yet or followed up with a Orthopedic Surgeon? I think walking is good but try and ease off the weightlifting until you see a Physiatrist or Orthosurgeon for an assessment. Take care. Charry
