  • For you never ending support in my ongoing battle.x
  • Best wishes to you! Not too long until you have some permanent relief.

  • I don't get on Spine Health so much lately. Now I am back to work doing my full hours, and my daily 2 mile walks, and my exercises and trying to keep the house in order, cook meals and do the laundry I am pretty busy!!!

When I do come back to see how all my friends are doing, I can't catch up with all the posts I haven't read. :O

If I haven't commented on my friends' posts, please forgive me. I do still care how you are getting on, and will try to catch up and cheer you on.

Shelly, I will be thinking of you and looking out for a post on how you are doing after surgery. I really hope and pray that this will be the way to get you comfortable and back into action.

    Take care my friend >:D< >:D< >:D<

  • For you Shelly, I am believing that for you.

    God Bless

  • To everyone for their kind words of support..Its now only 7 sleeps to go...
  • Mine was implanted in 2009, and it has been a great help - hasn't solved it all, but it is SO worth it. The procedure isn't bad at all and most people in the pain management area are compassionate! That helps.

    It will be just fine!

You will be in my prayers! >:D< O:)
  • How are you passing the time? My trial is in 32 days and I feel like I'm sitting here staring at the calander....tick...tock....tick....tock
  • only 2 days to go!!

Are you all set up and ready?
I'll be thinking of you and will say a prayer for you and it to be a success.

We'll be here waiting to hear how you are doing.

  • :SS :SS
Tomorrow is the day for me to have my SCS's done...Dr told me that I will have to stay in Hosptial for at least 4 days..That sux as I thought it may only be a day or 2..Ah well I trust my Specialist 200% so I will do as he tells me to..

They say its around a 3 hour procedure due to them implanting many wires.

Take care my dear friends and I will let you know how it all when as soon as Im home.

  • With our time differences, you are probably taking your last sleep right now. I do hope that you are managing to sleep! I)
Sweet dreams of days to come when you can move about without horrible pain.

I'll keep praying for you, that all goes well and that this will be the successful surgery that you need so badly.

It is your turn for relief!! >:D< >:D< >:D<

  • I will be praying for you. I wish you all the best in your procedure. Please let us know how everything goes for you, when you feel up to it. Best wishes,
  • I too will be praying for you. They did mine as outpatient, I just had to stay at a hotel in town for about four days, and then they did the final surgery. Either way, you will be well cared for. May you find relief from your pain! May God give you His peace as you go on this journey!
  • Just a quick note to let you all know that Im home and resting..

They ended up putting the lumbar one in first instead of the thoracic and it will be programmed and turned on next Thursday..

The 23rd of Feb is when the thoracic will be done and its going to take around 5 hours to put all the gadgets in..

Im in as lot of pain and will reply to my PM's asap as I cant sit for any longer than 5 minutes without pain where they input the battery and my butt cheek where they put it is so bruised, its black..

I cant thank you all enough for your words of support and kindness..It is friends like you that keep me going.xx
  • hear your home now and for the update, hope you can get comfy and your pain goes soon from the implant

    rest and take it easy
  • Are you able to put an icepack over your battery? That literally saved my butt each time. Hang in there.

  • Have been waiting and watching for your first report.

Now get some badly needed rest(one can't rest in hospital can they) and as "C" said.....ice can be a life saver. I used a bag of green peas.

We all will be waiting to hear how it is when they turn it on.

    Sending a gentle hug. >:D<

  • You are now another step closer to getting relief from your pain. =D>

Now is the time to get plenty of rest and allow this surgery to settle down and heal. Hope that the bruising will soon disperse and feel less sore.

Will be thinking of you on Thursday when they switch you on (sounds like turning the Christmas lights on!)

Also on 23rd February for the thoracic SCS to be fitted.

It is such a long and winding road, but hopefully at the end of your journey will be a better and more comfortable life.

    Praying for you Shelly,
    Now REST!
    >:D< >:D< >:D<

  • Pain relief is on the way, thank God. Just take it a day at a time and keep saying to yourself that relief is coming. Hopefully your PM can do something for you in the meantime.

  • I read your posts, and am filled with joy for you that your doctors take great care of you, and take time to let your body heal before moving on. =D>

You are in my thoughts much of the time and I wish you all the best for a very successful outcome.

Keep up with whatever you need to alleviate the soreness from the implanted unit.

We are all eagerly awating to hear how it is going for you.

Hope you are feeling much better today. I know this has been hard on you.....the surgery and then the waiting. I am sure it will be worth it for you. One down and one to go!!

  • Thinking of you today Shelly and looking forward to hearing how you are doing.

Hope you are comfortable and that things have gone really well for you. >:D< >:D< >:D<

  • How is it working Shellt??? How is your pain levels with it on now?? Do you take pain meds with it now or in the future?? I am asking because on the 18th I see my NS about what else we can do since my laminectomy did not relieve my pain issues, so I'm thinking implant.

You are in my prayers and thoughts, I hope you are feeling much better soon.

  • They turned it on Thursday and things seem to be going OK..The pain that was so intense before is not as bad now so fingers crossed it will stay that way..
The thoracic is very intense now that the lumbar machine is on..Its giving me hell..I changed the program to another one last night and when I got up to go to the bathroom and then came back to sit on the bed, I had this massive surge of pain in the right side so I turned the machine off and then reset it to the one I had been using and it seems OK now..I have a checkup with the Specialist on Tuesday and we will also discuss the next operation too.
Thanks to everyone for your support thru what has been an 18 month journey since they started with the nerve burns and joint injections..xx

  • Keeping fingers crossed too. Turn it off for a while and see how your pain is, then turn it back on so you can see how much it is helping.
You will be positional until it gets scared in good. Do you sleep with it on?
Am rooting for ya mate. Hugssssss
