So i had my spine surgery at the end of December... Everything went well for the most part other then all the PAIN!!!!I was in the hospital for 3 days but the doc wanted me to be there for a week b/c i was so unbalanced with walking, and it was really hard for me to get off the pain pump and my RSD really kicked in right after the surgery, in which was alot of the reason i had a hard time walking.. But needless to say I talked him into letting me go home at the 3 day mark..Though I should of stayed anyway b/c I came home to early and now I'm feeling it...I saw the doctor again on January 31 and he definitely didn't want to put me into therapy yet b/c the pain level is still really high...so when i see him again at the beginning of March he'll see if I'm ready by then to start PT...For the most part the surgery went fine and all the x-rays looked good he said too but it still hurts sooooo bad....and i can't get my RSD under control and both of my legs hurt as well...and i have this bulge on my left side of the incision and not on the right and was told that it was scar tissue that just settled there and should go away with time and if not then they'll take it out.... I just hurt all the time and as soon as it is time to take the next pain pill i am taking it... I can't do anything except watch tv and watch everyone else have a quality of life but me...I know it is coming eventually just seems like it takes forever.. and for me recovery is going to be longer being i have the RSD according to my doctor. and unfortunately i have a lot of PT coming as well.. that is going to cost me $60 to $80 bucks a week....but you got to have it...so needless to say that is how I am doing, miserable...lol I'll let you know when i hear or know anything new...but for now this is pretty much it.....
