I haven't been hanging around here much lately, but decided today that I really need to let you know how well I'm doing.
My 2-level lumbar fusion was done on Sept 29, and at my 3-month check-up my surgeon released me! There were good signs of fusion and for all practical purposes I have a *new* back. My back has literally not felt this good since I was in my 20's! No pain or numbness and I can do anything I want to. I'm totally amazed, to say the least.
I know that so many of you have not had such wonderful results or so fast a recovery, and for that I am truly sorry. I just want to inject a note of amazed optimism. If I could pass my wonderful surgical results on to each of you, I would do it in a heartbeat. What I can pass on to those of you anticipating back surgery is the reality that there are people out here, like me, who do actually have amazing surgical results, and you may be equally blessed!
