In dec i had fusion on l4,l5,s1.doing really well walking 3miles per day. Then 10 days ago started to get left leg weakness after walking 3/4 of a mile. When i sit down and rest for a few mins i can walk without weakness for another 1/2 mile.I wonder if this scar tisssue, loose screw, inflamation, nerve problem? any thoughts?i will see my doc in 10 days

  • Perhaps you need to ease back on the amount of walking and do it in shorter amounts during the day??

I wasn't walking 3 miles at 4 months out. I found if I did too much, my left leg would start to give way. I'm 17 months out now, and find if I push the limits a bit too much, I can feel some weakness in that leg. It takes a long time for the nerve to regenerate.

Good that you're seeing your doctor soon and he'll be able to see if there's a problem with your hardware, etc.
