3 weeks now. Got the xray back and shows that I have degenerating discs and athritis and trying to figure out my options. My insurance is PCN and wont pay for an mri let alone surgery. dont know what to do but so tired of not being able to function everyday. Cant afford chiropractic or physical therapy. hope someone on here can help me.

  • Can you talk to your Dr about going to PT at least once or twice so they can teach you the excercises that you can do at home? I had issues with both transportation and not wanting the gov't (taxpayers) to pay for me to go to PT, whenever I feel relatively bright and responsible enough that I could at least try to do most of my PT at home. I discussed my concerns with my Dr(s) who understood and took my reasoning into consideration, then I went to PT only a couple of times. Mind you I had been to PT many many times throughout the years, but that was for different reasons. Now like you, I have DDD and OA.
Where exactly are you feeling pain?
Welcome to spine-health, and I'm sorry you are in pain.
