Hi Y'all

I have Degenerative Disc Disease, Bulging Disc and a pinched nerve.

I am turning 40 in November so this is scaring me because people are just telling me that it all goes down from here, and I hope not because so far it has not been good. I have had a total of 8 surgery's but none for my back and that's the one I want.

Current pain med's
1. Oxycodone Hcl 45mg 4 times a day (yes I know it is a lot)
2. Neurontin 300mg 3 times a day (which works well)
3. Celebrex 200mg once a day ( this works great as well)
4. Xanax 0.5mg 4 times a day ( to relax my back )

I think when you said to name your med's I think you meant just for your back right? If so those are it. I know you will have question's about the first one, but the reason why it is so high and she will be raising it, is because I was on a high dose of Dilaudid. I thought my body was getting use to it so i wanted to get off it for awhile then i will go back on it. Because with Dilaudid it doesn't give you that weird feeling the "high" people call it with the oxycodone. I don't like this feeling and the Dilaudid just kills the pain, it is awesome, I feel in total control when i am taking Dilaudid, not like i am on this stuff. I don't even drive, my husband is in the Army and they have to let him leave work to take me to all my appt's. oh well back to the thing here...

I have had...4 MRI's maybe more.. back in 2000 the Chiropractor told me my spine curve's in in stead of out where it shouldn't. So i had to pay out of pocket for that and he said he would have me fixed in a year if i came 3-4 times a week for a year. I couldn't do it so maybe i did the whole DDD thing.

and that's all about me!

  • Hi and Welcome!

People that say "it's all downhill after 40", are most likely only basing that on their own experience.

I am 24 and just had surgery for a ruptured cervical disc.

Did you see a surgeon about the bulging disc? Sometimes radiologists are wrong or MRIs don't show everything.

    Good luck with everything!

Another surgery in the near future. I am 26 years old.

Current Meds- Norco 7.5/325, Cymbalta 60mg, Gabapentin, Adderall 20mg
