synovial cyst, L4 & L5 causing spinal stenosis

Anyone out there who has synovial cyst causing chronic pain in back and down leg?Meds. Amitriptylene 50mgs. day and oxycontin 60mgs day and percocet for breakthrough pain meds.


  • Hi,new to this forum.Had scoliosis surgery thoracic spine fusion.In 08 also had tractor trailer accident,cervical fracture c6/c7.Severe DDD and osteoarthritis and osteoporosis and to go along with that lumbar spinal stenosis with synovial cysts limiting mobility.Has anyone else out there been told that lumbar surgery was out of the question because of severe arthritic changes in lumbar spine.Ortho surgeon? As of now taking oxcontin 60mg percocets for breakthrough pain,and Amirtriptylene to help with sleep .As of now a lot of nights are spent in a reclining chair.
