RLS after lumbar surgury

since my fusion in 93 my legs are getting weaker,cramping when walking,pins needles in bed,cant keep them still.i have to take percocet to get to sleep but wears off at 2am i think its my back,scar tissue,they checked bp at ankles thats ok,calfs tender,painfull,what is this?? Rick


  • to get horrible pains in my legs, especially cramps when I stretch, since I had surgery. Generally, I find that exercise helps - just stretching and keeping the muscles moving.
    3 level spinal fusion, L3/4, L4/5, L5/S1, November 2008. Stiff, but I can walk.
  • If you had your surgery in 93 maybe you need further assessment from your Dr. to see if there's any change in your back after your fusion. Your Dr. may run a panel of blood work also to see if your Calcium or magnesium levels are low or other tests. Drink a lot of water it may be you're dehydrated also. I hope you find out what's causing this and get some assistance from your Dr. We're here to support you through this. Take care. Charry
