Sacroiliac Joint Surgery

Has anyone had sacroiliac joint surgery??

  • The traditional SI fusion is rare and there is a lot of debate as to whether or not it should even be done. The recovery is also very lengthy. There is a new procedure out called ifuse by SIBone. It is a minimally-invasive surgery. It seems promising but is too new to have had the results measured yet.
  • to LaCasada: you said recovery time is lengthy. I had mine 9 months ago. I'm still in some pain. hope for the best.
  • I had SI joint surgery on August 18, after six weeks with no weight bearing, I have been walking for two weeks. As of now I seem to be in as much pain as I was before surgery. Is there a lengthy healing process??
  • Will have ifuse installed in a few weeks right side only. Are you saying that the sibone Ifuse implant did not help you? My symptoms are that I can only stand for short periods of time because of aching in my lower back. Also limited how far I can walk without having to stop and sit down.
