Yay, was approved by Canada Pension today!
It was about a 5 month process and I was approved first time around. They said it was pretty obvious, cut and dry, and I have one of the thinnest files they've seen.
So this means I will be covered by the Federal government for their max allowable to age 65, and LTD through work will top up the rest because my LTD income is more than the maximum allowable through CPP. Basically in the end I must get the same amount of income as I am presently getting on LTD.
So, I am relatively young (40s) with 13 years of university education, which goes to show you that there is hope for younger professional :B people.
