I have a long history of pinched nerves and have found satisfying results with chiropractic and massage care. Last year I woke up the day after going to the driving range and had a shooting pain down my right arm! This continued for 4 months...I went to Dr and had Cervical MRI and Brain MRI as my headaches were unbearable. The results showed herniation at C5/C6 and C6/C7 with osteophyte (bonespur). I continued my chiro care then i did physical therapy which included dry needling (as i lost feeling in my right shoulder blade where the actual knots were located) and traction. The pain disappeared as quickly as it came on. All was wonderful until the end of July this year...i got the shooting pain down both arms now I am not seeing any results with the chiro or physical therapy and waiting for EMG to be scheduled after being referred to a neurosurgeon. I have a nightstand filled with pain pills that DO NOT work. They make me more clumsy and maybe take the edge off. I am most interested in alternative treatments if at all possible but not sure how much longer i can do this. The pain/discomfort/odd sensations of burning-tingling-numbness are 24/7. Please advise of any alternatives to surgery or epidurals that have worked with the same symptons. Many thanks to all in advance and wishing God speed recovery to each of you.
