Strange popping after T-Bone car accident

I was in a car accident 4 months ago where I was T-boned. The driver-side airbags went off in my VW Passat and literally saved my life. Remarkably, I was A-okay and only needed treament to some arm lacerations at the urgent care. I didn't have any major symptoms of whiplash and have been going to yoga in hopes of realigning anything that may be out of whack as a result of the impact. so far so good. The only thing that worries me is a strange popping or cracking that my neck does when I have sat in one head position for a certain length of time and then turn my head to another (not during yoga, usually sitting watching TV or computer). It is mildly painful and I can also feel tension in my nasal passages when this happens. I am not one to love the doctors office but I think this may warrant a visit. Some people have told me to see a chiropracter but I have heard enough negative things that I am weary of their treatment. Any ideas what my be causing this or how to remedy it. It happens about 2 to three times a week and is just a little scary at most.
