I'm curious to see if anyone else on here has a congential abnormalitie(s)of the spine and what they are. Congenital of course is just a fancy word for something you are born with or without. I personally was born without a pedicle on the right side of my lumbar spine which cause me to have severe arthritis at a young age. I also was born with an L6

  • i was born with a small spinal canal which causes problems with any small bulge or herniation. i've had pain in my legs since i was a child and herniations and arthritis in my neck that caused severe stiffness and pain as long as i can remember.the thoracic herniations i have i was just told was very unusual and probably there since birth as well.
  • Hello, I was born with VATERS/VACTERLS Syndrome, Dislocated hips, lumbar scoliosis, club arm, Ventricular Septal Defect (hole in the heart), hemi-vertabra, muscles missing in right leg, and one functioning kidney. (And a partridge in a pear tree!) *Laugh*

  • I just found out I am missing a right pedicle at L5 along with some other congenital abnormalities.
