Hi everyone .

I suffered from back pain for couple years . every now and then , say 3 weeks I would have a very Sharp shooting pain in my back (middle ) which would last only a second , but was shocking enough to send me to the ground . I saw my doctor multiple times but he said its just a nerve and to take anti inflammatory. after a couple years I just put up with it until one morning I was having spasms and couldn't walk for nearly an hour . I went straight to hospital , but they sent me back to the doctor, same story . so I tried a sports injury guy, he turned me on my side and crouched me one way and the other, then lied me face down and applied pressure down my spine, I felt it click numerous times . after around 5 - 10 mins he had finished and I was like a new man, no pain at all, I could do anything . the problem now is it happens maybe once a year and I go see him and get it taken care of, but I don't know why what he does works, I wanna understand why it happens . I have the problem again today . if I stand straight and lean my hand down to the left or right the shooting pain is there as if my spine discs are rubbing or something . anyone ever had this ? I find it so hard to get info , hopefully this site can help . thanks again

It could be so many different things. You would have to go to a spine specialist, like a Ortho or Neurosurgeon. And he would probably order some imaging, and run you through some tests.
