Hello, everybody. My name is Brian and I suffer from chronic pain syndrome, spinal stenosis, lumbar, lumbar spondylosis w/o myelopathy/ degenerative joint disease and postlaminectomy syndrome in the lumbar region.
I've been dealing with this chronic pain issue for past 18 years. I've had a spinal fusion surgery at L4 S1 but it did not take. I've had many epidurals which did very little to help. My doctor says that the ineffectiveness of the epidural procedures is probably due to scar tissue.
I recently had a St. Jude's stimulater implanted onto my spine to help me manage my pain. I also take pain medications and muscle relaxers.
This stimulater has helped me out a lot but I gave up one pain for another, The surgeon implanted the lead for the wire into the T3 region of my spine. Thus causing pain there...
I'm so sick of hurting. Any way, I plan on making good use of this website. Please help me cope!

  • Welcome to Spine-Health. I think you'll find this site very informative and the forums very welcoming. This is a great place to find others that share what you're going through and the support is phenomenal.

I'm sorry for all you've gone through. What more are they planning for you, if anything?

If support will help you cope, then you've got it. If shared experiences will also help you, then you've got that too. This is a great place to hang out.

Are you currently working? Are you married, have kids?

Keep us posted and again welcome to Spine-Health.

PS Wilhelm, welcome to you too, but it would be best to post your own thread rather than post in someone elses, especially in the New Member forums. You'll get a lot more responses that way.
