Hello everybody! I'm a 52 yrs old female.
I was recently diagnosed with spondylolisys and my doctor
recommends fusion surgery of L5-S1. I've tried all conservative
treatments with no results.

It is good to know I'm not alone.

I haven't made my decision yet.

  • hi and welcome to the forum! we are here to offer you support and answer what questions we can. i am sorry you have tried all other methods and they have failed as far as pain control..good luck as you seek relief with surgery!! this is a very personal decision.. please be sure and get more than one opinion when it comes to surgery!! the more confirmation you have, the better for you!! be sure and follow your doctor'r orders! stop by the forum anytime!! there is always a spiney around!     sorry to hear your facing such pain but glad you are taking your time on the decision. Yes, it's personal. I'm sure you are seeking at least 1 additional opinion.

    From reading here, you'll read experiences which can, often, help you create a list of questions for your doctor.
