Celebrex effective?

Hello everyone,

I was diagnosed some years ago with DDD resulting in 2 surgeries 20 years ago. It was Bone fusion C5-6 both times. I have slight bone spurs and arthritis. I have been on Gabapentin and Vicodin for years now. I had a bad flare up with a pinched nerve last fall.
I joined because I have so many questions on what to take and how to pursue this condition. I wanted to get off all meds but starting to think now that was just denial. I'm alsmost off Gabapentin. I went down from 4 to 3 Vicodin a day but can'r seem to get off them. I'm taking 4 aleve about 2x/day.
What controls my pain is 4 aleve, 1 vicodin and 1 tizanidine.
Some days I feel like I don't need the medication and I feel guilty for having to take it to avoid withdrawal then the pain starts again.
Has anyone had any luck with Celebrex? My doc prescribed it but I took one and felt nothing?
