spinal decompression therapy

Hi has anyone ever tried spinal decompression therapy. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Pros cons. Doesnt matter. Would rather hear from ppl with back issues. Because we truly are the ones who know what works and what doesnt. I have l4 and l5 protruding discs. 5mm apart. Causing sciatica and disc bulgeing. Thanks.

  • first see my alfie 99 posts. I had Cox machine and RXxxxx decompression at chiropractors. Insurance pays for the former not the latter. I am 68 and have had 20+ yrs of low back pain. Had several MRIs, been to all kind of chiropractors and orthopedists spine specialists over the years. I did OK on Cox and was doing OK on the decompression but 4 weeks ago I had a severe pain (similar to sciatica) in my left leg. Had MRI and found L3 nerve compressed by ruptured disc. Bottom line, 6 mos of decompression at $1500 out of pocket, what happened? I should not have this rupture? Orthopedist says decompression is a get rich scam and does not yield the results it is intended to. Who knows? Maybe we can generate some talk here about it. I am a scientist so I have open mind and believe data talks, so I need to see data before I will go back to paying $$ for decompression. Best of luck dude.
