I had spinal stenosis (decompressed laminectomy ) on 4 lumbar areas on 4/24/12. When I went in to have the surgery, I weighed 112 & 29" waist...when I came out, I weighed 128 with a 38" waist...I'd call that lots of swelling..I look like I'm 8 months pregnant..I took a dieurtic & my weight dropped to 117 so I know I was holding a lot of fluid, but should my tummy still be swollen..it's now 33"...Is this normal for this type of surgery. I'm 65 & having a very hard time getting over this..I'm still hurting & still feel sciatic pain my right hip area...is this just part of what is to be expected? Tks! peh
