my neurologist needed to fix my spine due to issues after last fusion. the screws were not alligned and the back was a mess. so when i woke up and moved my legs i had a pain i have never had before and never so sever even with a kidney stone. my left thigh is numb but the nerve is irritated and the pain is sever going down my thigh. he said he did not go near the nerve but after days of complaining he asked his fellow drs and they said they have had patients with this problem. it has been 10 days and the pain is a little better but still wakes me up at night and when i get up to walk the pain is too sever to even take a step. even not standing on my leg does not help. anyone have this problem?
he said it should get better but 10 days with little help is depressing. i can't take the pain i get depressed and cry due to the severity and i usually can handle pain
I have 4 fusions from L5-3, the latest last May '12 where they fixed my disc that broke. They went through my side this time. I take 40 mg of oxycontin 4x a day and 4 fenatyl lollipops 300 micro gms 4x a day.
